Patchwork skirt for Annie
I made this patchwork skirt for Annie today - using mostly green and pink fabrics. I couldn't make her try it on though... perhaps tomorrow. :)
My own design (with much help from my beloved mum... hugs and kisses to her!).

Top in progress (after)
My design wall is maxed out, and there are 2 rows left to lay out.
This is to be queen sized for my bed.
9 blocks by 11 blocks. Right now, it's 7 by 11... I'll sew this batch up and then lay out the other 2 rows.
I can't seem to get the color right on these. It;s so much more pleasing in person...

Funky Checkers
My quilt group had Kelly Gallagher Abbott in to teach a workshop on her super cool piecing method. She calls this pattern Funky Checkers.
This is so NOT the final layout- I've already changed it 6 times since I took the photo.
This is 100% stash! Hooray. Much of it is Kaffe, but not all.

Celebrate Colour - felt art close up
Last week I was working on a rather dark project (still not finished) so I did this one as an injection of colour. The piece is 6x4 and is entirely hand stitched. Not sure what it reminds me of, my husband said it looked little pool pebbles!
SOLD on Etsy.

Ribbon and Trim
I store my ribbon and trim in a large, semi flat plastic comtainer... wrapped abound a rectange of foam core. The rectangles are about 4 x 12: each. For sizing, that blue/brown flower trim in the bottom left is about 1.5" wide.

Aug. Doll Quilt Challenge
Made with left over Moda Summer in the City charm pack. Crazy nine patch pattern.
Tutorial here.
Just used 9 different squares to create my 9 nine patches. Finished blocks are about 3 1/2"
For the border, I cut more charm squares in 1 1/4" strips, sewed those strips together, then cut my border strips from that.

Vintage quilt - making progress
My dad found these quilt blocks in his local thrift store. Some were hand-pieced, some machine-pieced.
Anyone know the name of this pattern?

Log Cabin Quilt
When we went to the museum, they were just putting up an exhibit of quilts. This one is Log Cabin, 1850-1875, Silk, pieced. The size makes them think it was a parlor throw and not a bed cover. Would you ever guess the age from those colors!

Finished!
Quilt I made for my mother's 79th birthday. Unusual for me, I'm done a month early. Now to remember to get it in the mail on time.
